About Me Hello and welcome! I’m Amy, a yoga teacher, Ayurvedic counselor, energy healer, and lifelong student of the metaphysical world. From a young age, I’ve been fascinated by the unseen forces that shape our reality—an early spark that eventually led me to study Reiki, aromatherapy, and Ayurveda in depth. But my journey wasn’t always so clear-cut; it was actually IBS and seasonal allergies that first nudged me onto the path of holistic healing.
A Lifelong Curiosity for Metaphysics Growing up, I was the kind of kid who loved exploring the mysteries of the universe—reading about chakras, dreaming about distant galaxies, and marveling at the idea that there’s more to life than meets the eye. My curiosity about energy and the unseen naturally led me to Reiki, which became my first official stepping stone in energy healing. The ability to facilitate balance and calm through gentle, intentional touch resonated deeply with what I’d always believed: there’s a vast inner world waiting to be discovered if we just remain open to it.
IBS Leads Me to Yoga In my adult years, I found myself navigating a stressful corporate environment that exacerbated my IBS and left me feeling drained. Seeking relief, I enrolled in a yoga class at a local gym—honestly, just hoping for a little relaxation. I didn’t yet realize that yoga was so much more than stretching and breathing. But as I dug deeper, I discovered a transformative mind-body practice that reconnected me with myself on every level.
My curiosity flourished, and soon I signed up for yoga teacher training. That’s where I first learned about subtle anatomy—the energetic layers of our being that can influence our physical and emotional health. The moment we delved into chakras and nadis, something inside me lit up. I knew I had found not just a practice, but a calling.
From Aromatherapy to Reiki My passion for holistic healing kept growing, and I was invited to explore aromatherapy further. I soon took an AromTouch Technique certification, discovering how beautifully essential oils could complement and enhance the healing power of Reiki. Pairing gentle, aromatic applications with the flow of universal life force energy felt like weaving art and science together in the most harmonious way.
A Leap into Ayurveda At the same time, I also struggled with seasonal allergies, which led me to seek out an acupuncturist for relief. Little did I know this incredible practitioner—who also happened to be a graduate of an Ayurvedic school—would encourage me to take my studies deeper by enrolling at her alma mater. Following her nudge, I found myself immersed in the wisdom of Ayurveda, an ancient healing system that resonated with everything I’d learned so far, yet offered so much more.
Eventually, I earned my BA in Ayurveda Wellness & Integrated Health, gaining a profound appreciation for how our unique constitutions, lifestyles, and environments shape our health. Ayurveda taught me that true wellness isn’t just about addressing symptoms; it’s about honoring our individual nature and living in harmony with the rhythms of life.
